Lotus Blossoms

Showing through this weekend, September 12-14, at the Harford Plein Air Festival's  show at the Bel Air Armory, 37 N. Main St., Bel Air, MD. The event is sponsored by Maryland Center for the Arts. Admission is free to see the 30 juried artists plein air paintings of Harford County subjects.  Hours are 9-3 Saturday and 10-3 Sunday.

This painting was done at  Ladew Topiary Gardens. one of my favorite places in Harford County. There are many individual  "garden rooms" on the landscaped property and many of them have a fountain as a centerpiece. These lotus blossoms in one of the fountains caught my eye for a morning plein air painting.
