There's a story behind this painting. My husband and I are both collectors: sometimes together, sometimes independently. We're always trying to find space to hang a new acquisition, which becomes harder and harder to do. "The Perfect Light" has been one of the very, very few of my own paintings that we've chosen to keep and hang in our own home, but now the time has come to replace it with another artist's work. The painting was created during "Paint Annapolis," a juried plein air competition, and won an award there. It has always been one of my favorites.
