A few weeks to paint nothing but horses has been a joy for me. This mare and her foal were on the scene in a nearby pasture while I took an early morning walk up our lane. I found the most challenging part of this painting to be capturing the atmosphere and light of a beautiful dawn. It was far more difficult to paint the somewhat indistinct shapes of the horses in the foreground than if they had been in sharp relief. This painting is available through April 23 at the Towson Arts Collective Gallery at The Shops at Kenilworth in Towson, MD. For sales inquiries, please contact [email protected].
