I have been working from some of my photos of the Outer Banks. There were several mornings when we were up before dawn to photograph that beautiful light over the dunes and perhaps catch a glimpse of the wild ponies. Up on the 4-wheel drive beach, our friends had seen the ponies as they made their crossing at the dune road, so that's where we sipped hot coffee from our thermos cups and waited for them.
