Cinnamon Sail

This is a USVI view of one of the Hobie Cats out near the small island off Cinnamon Beach in St. John. I like the bit of color the Hobie's add to the scene, and  enjoyed getting the light cloud reflections onto the water.   Our skies in Maryland often have a yellow cast to the blue, but in the Caribbean, I find the blues fall more to the violet side, even at the horizon. Clouds are always fun to paint, especially the variety you get in the Virgin Islands.
